Chile - This country is like everything and nothing you've ever experienced. In the north, a desert: the Atacama is supposedly
the driest place on earth. In the south, Antarctica, one of
the coldest places on earth. In between, extinct and lively volcanos, a sophisticated capital
and villages barely out of the 19th century.

Zip-lining in Patagonia PUERTO VARAS, ENSENADA, Chile - It's
hard to let out a good Tarzan yell when you can't breathe.
The Ape Man didn't have to contend with rain, wind, cold or a zip-line harness. I did, plus the trepidation that follows
ignoring multiple signs from the universe not to leave the ground.
Cape Horn: Getting there was all the fun PUNTA
ARENAS, Chile - No land masses slow the winds and waves that whip around the bottom of our planet, but the Andes Mountains
and Antarctic peninsula manage to funnel them into Drake Passage.
Waves crash into the shallower bottom here, becoming choppier, steeper and more hazardous to ships. Notorious rogue waves
can rise 100 feet.
